Expanded Outline

I. Intro
A. While Mcdonald’s Videogame does a decent job of portraying the immoralities of the fast food industry, Super Chick Sisters is a more effective game for demonizing the fast food business and making players aware of animal cruelty.

II. McDonald’s Videogame
A. Basic gameplay and description
1. Object of the game is to earn the most money by any means possible
2. Similar to Sims or Tycoon games
B. Logos, ethos, pathos
1. Uses mostly ethos in that players have to perform some actions that may be unethical
C. Factors portraying McDonald’s in a bad light
1. Actions are played out quickly and without a lot of thought in the game
a. Is this how McDonald’s is in reality?

III. Super Chick Sisters
A. Basic gameplay and description
1. Object is to save Pamela Anderson from the evil Colonel Sanders, while saving chickens in the process
2. Similar to Super Mario Bros.
B. Logos, ethos, pathos
1. Uses ethos in the same was as McDonald’s Videogame
2. Uses pathos by imagery and telling of the horrible ways chickens are treated
C. Factors portraying KFC in a bad light
1. Imagery (buckets of blood, evil Colonel Sanders, chicken falling in grease, etc.)

IV. Why SPS is more effective
A. Animal Cruelty
1. Clearer, more focused message
2. Imagery
B. quality
1. Amount of gameplay
2. Monotony in MV
3. Retro
C. Difficulty
1. SPS has easier controls

V. Conclusion with restated thesis
A. If a game had to be chosen to educate people on the animal cruelty that is evident in the fast food industry, Super Chick Sisters would be a much more productive game than McDonald’s Videogame.
